Syed has a Specialised Associate Degree in Professional Golf Management. He was the recipient of the “Old Tom Morris” Award for the History of Golf at the Professional Golfers Career College based in California, USA. He also took a leadership course offered by Kennedy School of Government, Harvard University.
In 2003, Syed was based in Indonesia as Regional Manager for Asia Golfing Network. Upon his return to Malaysia, he became the General Manager for the former Prime Minister of Malaysia, Tan Sri Muhyiddin’s Charity Golf Foundation, a position he held for a number of years. He was also responsible for managing various prominent golf clubs in Malaysia.
Syed joined HMH Group in 2011 and is responsible for all new projects under the Group. He is also the liaison for government officials.
