Hafez Hashim began his overseas schooling in the United Kingdom in 1993 at one of Britain’s foremost boarding schools. Upon completion of his A Levels, he pursued an Advanced Diploma in Mass Communication at Lim Kok Wing University of Creative Technologies and a Bachelor of Arts in Multimedia from Victoria University, Melbourne, Australia.

Whilst still studying, Hafez established HMH Group at the age of 23 and has been at its helm since.

Hafez was awarded the Darjah Kebesaran Setia – Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah (S.I.S.) by DYMM Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah, the Sultan of Selangor in 2019. Hafez was formerly a non-executive independent director of Tropicana Corporation Berhad. He currently sits as a director of Tropicana Corporation subsidiary.

He is also a board member of PUC Berhad since 2019 as well as on several other private companies.
